Conversa Language Classes
What languages would you like to learn?
Our regular program is based on the four components of Conversa’s methodology. Conversation is practiced in every class. Participants engage in dialogues simulating day-to-day situations and hold conversations with each other. Vocabulary is introduced in each lesson to support these situations, and grammar concepts are presented as needed without overwhelming students with technical jargon. Finally, each class includes reading related texts to improve pronunciation, intonation, and comprehension.
At the Beginner Level, the students will be able to introduce themselves, ask and answer simple questions about personal details, to handle simple routine tasks, asking for directions and making simple requests.
At the Intermediate Level, the students will be able to engage in more detailed conversations on a variety of practical topics, to express opinions and provide more detailed explanations. At this level, much emphasis is placed on becoming comfortable in speaking in the past tense when describing events and experiences.
At the Advanced and Superior Level, the students will be able to participate fluently and spontaneously in conversations on a wide range of topics, discussing abstract ideas and concepts and to argue persuasively, debate issues and negotiate effectively.
